Why on earth would you want to have a wedding on the beach, of all places? Perhaps you’ve dreamed of it since you were a little girl. Maybe your vacation was spent in Hawaii or the Bahamas, and you decided to yourself, “I want my wedding THERE!!!!” Or maybe you simply like the location. This article will point out a few important things to remember as you plan so you can make your dream wedding work.
First of all, think about your guests’ attire. Yes, a nighttime beach wedding with guests in black tie would be beautiful, but 1) beach weddings tend to get colder the later it gets, and 2)ultra formal clothing might be a no no here, since there will be a lot of elements that could stain or damage their outfits-sticks, sharp thorns, seaweed, and so on. Tell your guests to dress semi formally, and to bring layers. Better to have them comfortable than unhappy.
Next, think about your attire. A heavy, embroidered dress would be beautiful and elegantin a church setting. Remember, you’re on the beach, and nothing is worse than ruining a potential heirloom than by getting sand and seawater in it. Opt for something a little more practical, like a shorter train or lighter material.
Consider the favors you’ll be giving away at your party. The easiest way to handle this is to make them theme based. Use things like tiny pails and shovels or shells to represent the beach, or sunscreen and sunglasses to represent summertime. You can also be really unique and give your guests a CD of soothing beach sounds, with a personal note attached. Your guests will appreciate the sentiment, and remember you every time they listen to their gift.
Most children get incredibly bored during weddings, but a beach wedding provides opportunities for them that they don’t get elsewhere. Have them do something useful, like sitting in chairs to make sure they’re stable, or being in charge of watching for waves. In the event that you’ve accidentally miscalculated when high tide is, this could be something really useful. They can feel important, their parents will thank you, and you’ll have help on your big day.
Speaking of waves, keep an eye on the weather and the tide table. A simple check on weather.com will help you figure out if you need to make any last minute changes in the program. Will you need to order an extra tent for drizzle in the afternoons or hot summer sun during the day? Will high tide hit right as you’re saying your vows, and if so, will everyone be far enough away from the waves to avoid disaster? Is it windy, and if so, which direction is the spray going in? Can you change your position, if necessary, to keep from getting the wrong kind of saltwater in your eyes? These are just a few of the questions you’ll need to think about.
Last but not least, what about the location itself? We’ve already discussed items on the beach that could potentially damage clothes. In addition, you’ll want to take into account whether or not the location is access friendly. You may not want your guests to have to drive down a dirt road and then hike for half a mile to get to your site. This is something you’ll especially want to consider if you have elderly people or people with disabilities attending.
Everyone dreams of a beautiful beach wedding, but not everyone can pull it off. However, with a little time, energy and thought, you can-and impress your guests at the same time.

Tell him it is time to set a date. That is the whole point of engagement. To plan your wedding. Since you are already living together, he apparently doesn't see it as a necessity.
Try this one
1 Cup Butter Softened
16 oz. Cream Cheese Softened
8 Cups Powdered Sugar
1 Tbsp Wilton Meringue Powder
4 Tbsp Milk
Put the Cream Cheese, Butter, Vanilla and half of the Powdered Sugar into the mixing bowl.
Mix on low speed until creamed together. If you wrap a dish towel around the top of the mixing bowl it will keep the powdered sugar from flying around the kitchen.
Add the rest of the Powdered Sugar, the Milk and the Meringue Powder to the frosting.
Mix until Creamy and Smooth.
Add Wilton Icing Color of your choice.
With Icing Colors a little goes a long way they’re a paste and not a liquid.
Stir with a rubber spatula until the color is mixed throughout the frosting.
I use a spatula because if you use a wooden spoon it gets stained by the coloring.
Your frosting is now ready to use on cakes, cupcakes and cookies, Enjoy!
