If the whole wedding is formal, then yes, a tux is appropriate.

Many couples these days plan beach weddings. These kinds of wedding ceremonies may well lack some of the formality of more conventional wedding ceremonies but they still need a considerable amount of organizing to make them a success.

You can only get married once. You need to prioritize. If the Church is important to you, then get married in the Church and then do a ceremony that celebrates your union with maybe a list of 10 things where each of you sees your family in the next decade. You can't do it in reverse.

Since many people don't share their "Wiccanness" you should probably have a justice of the Peace or a notary marry you. A traditional handfasting is very different from a Christian one. If your family and friends can keep from getting weirded out I'd say go for it.

Depending on where you love you can go to the Witch's Voice and find a priest or priestess in your area and you can discuss the differences with them.

Congrats!

Hi Carly and Jay ~
It's your cousin Paula. Your site is amazing. Your Dad told me about this and it's such a great way to keep up with your family. Did you create this site yourself? You have a beautiful family. The two of you look so happy on your wedding day. Beach wedding! That's great. Talk to you soon. My prayers are with you and your family. The girls are precious.

1. July 9, 2010
2. Haven't decided yet, but leaning towards yellow.
3. Nope, but the Eagle Globe and Anchor will be dispersed on various things as a sort of motif.
4. We're doing a Friday night church ceremony with a formal reception afterwards.
5. Yes, all children are invited.
6. Open bar.
7. My dress is a strapless ball gown with a pick up skirt and a cathedral length train.
8. As much as a man can do. Once he leaves for boot camp I will be all on my own though.
9. Candies in cellophane bags. The candies are in our wedding colors.
10. Some people claim I am too young. I think maturity is important, not age.
11. I'm a little stressed but only over finances, not over planning.
