I totally agree–I read Strunk & White years ago, after hearing about how it was so wonderful because it was short, entertaining, well-written, the be-all and end-all of style manuals…and I just wasn't impressed. I agreed with him on some things, but an awful lot of it just seemed like personal style.
But “Eats, Shoots & Leaves”? Yes. Love that book. And it just occurred to me…I wonder if I could make that a required text when I'm a TA next semester. That would be awesome.
go to ebay to get the things that you need …..a mannequin is good ,but I would get one that is busty and hippy becuase the one that I have is so skinny that sometimes the garments don’t not look right on her. I would first invest in a dress form to be able to adjust the size of the garment to real people sizes. Thanks!!!!!
