Your dress is meant to be worn over a petticoat…yeah.

goofywilly June 4, 2010 at 10:44 pm

Why in the heck would you buy from online in china????????? O.o
Buy american made and if you get screwed over atleast there’s
some way you can get to the person and then kill em!!!
sympathys anyway glad it worked out for ya!!!!!!!!!!!!

smiley1412 June 4, 2010 at 11:38 pm

I think you suppose to buy a petticoat, so the dress flares out and as for the smell u can take it to the cleaners. The dress doesn’t look that bad at all.

Broyale26 June 4, 2010 at 11:51 pm

Who in the hell would buy a wedding dress from China (online) of all places?
I repeat, who would buy a WEDDING DRESS ONLINE from CHINA?!
Was she really that hard up for cash? What was their budget, $50 bucks?
If that was my bride-to-be and she was telling me she wanted to buy a dress from China, i’d tell her to see if they have any grooms there while she’s at it.

bladeliker June 5, 2010 at 12:11 am

well like they say you get what u paid for if you look on ebay and look at the seller info but when you go two ebay you are protected by pay pal

bladeliker June 5, 2010 at 12:14 am

well iv order one of line on ebay but when you put a wedding shop like this two say this is what i brought from china and say nasty stuff and then put a massive logo of a shop name is quite low of the low just two make money

AlliAllStar June 5, 2010 at 12:57 am

Why didn’t you get the gown pressed and cleaned? You also didn’t try it on with an appropriate slip/petticoat, which completely makes a princess dress.

jennifer615 June 5, 2010 at 12:58 am

My prices are around $280 – $350 for a wedding dress. I have made hundreds of brides very happy as they have been able to wear their dream dress which they normally couldn’t afford. However if your expectations are too high, then you are bound to be dissapointed. You CANT expect a $3,500 dress to be exactly the same as a $280 dress. You will probably need a hoop to flare the skirt. It comes down to what you want and what you can afford. Just make sure your supplier has a good reputation.

jennifer615 June 5, 2010 at 1:11 am

Not all wedding dresses from China are crap. I wouldn’t recommend DHgate, as there are many “trade companies” which are just people off the street who advertise designer dresses, and when they get an order, go with the cheapest factory.

I am a reseller of wedding dresses, and my wedding dresses are made in China. However, I know my supplier very well, and I know that they provide high quality, well made wedding gowns for brides on a budget. …Continued

You can have bad experiences in the States too. I used a shop called Mrs. Moran’s Bridal and lost $370. I got a dress that was not a good facsimile and it doesn’t even come close to fitting. I feel foolish because I am not a young bride and should have known better. I DO NOW! Don’t make my mistake. Stick with someone in your home town and get to know them. Save yourself, time, money and anguish. I have no wedding dress, just a ten year old pary dress so my dreams are dashed.

What Idiots. I have a healthy respect for Edhi. He and his wife have done alot of Good for the Pakistani people without the Political entanglements.
It's pathetic that a man would be treated as such. I wonder if they question other aid workers that travel often?

Theme4Web Post : Is it ok to find bridesmaid dresses before my wedding dress?

Todd January 9, 2011 at 8:07 am

I submit two tests for the observation that liturgical finery is not about the person wearing it, but about honor for Christ who is present:

1. The attitude toward fancy bridal fashion. Would Cardinals Llovera, Pell, Burke, and their apologists accept the whole gamut of bridal dresses that cross the threshhold of their churches as an expression of the celebration of Christ in the sacraments?

2. Would the same people be prepared to concede the same affirmation for “we” that is sung by the assembly in liturgical song? This “we” is often criticized for being “all about us!” but in fact, reflects a contrast away from individualism and a focus on God.

I might be prepared to concede the cappa magna and other aspects some Catholics might consider excessive. Of course, there still remains the reconciliation with letter and spirit of SC 124. But let's be honest: part of Jimmy's sniffing at this vesture would include my perception that like concessions are not always easily granted. And regardless of the theoretical side of the vestment discussion, in practice, many of the reform2 prelates seem to be emphasizing personal power over Christ's grace.

Granted, Cardinal Llovera has barely had a chance to warm his desk chair, but if he's willing to contribute more openness to his office, I can overlook the cape.

It probably isn't the most healthy thing to be overly worried about, but my fiancé's bachelor party is on my tip five list of things to be anxious about the week before my wedding. We live in BC and are getting married in ON, so this means that the bachelor party will likely be during the week before the wedding. I am trying to convince him to have it the evening we arrive in town, so he has several days to recover, and plus I'll still have time to cancel the wedding – just kidding! LOL Let us know how the party goes – fingers crossed that all went well and that they had a great time, which I'm sure will be the case. So, you might remember that I am heading to Vancouver/Burnaby for the next couple of days. Only two to be exact. Which isn't enough time! I wanted to check out some bridal stores with my MOH and future cousin as well as do some crazy shopping at Metrotown AND spend the day at the Aquarium and Stanley Park. I'm worried that we won't be able to get it all done. Every time we go to Van we have tons of stuff planned (as it isn't super cheap to get over there ;( and we rarely get it all done. So, I am hoping that you can help me out. I am hoping to go to 3 bridal stores while there. I think I would LOVE to check out Blush Bridal, do you know of two other worthwhile ones in that area? Thanks so MUCH for you help! PS Do you know if Blush Bridal carries Impressions bridesmaid dresses and Moonlight bridal dresses? Hmm…after I typed that it just dawned on me to check out their website…lol…
