Do you have any recommendations for a good destination wedding site? We want to transfer to Sandals for our honeymoon, but we don’t want the ceremony/reception there because it costs a ridiculous per-person fee for people not staying on the property (which includes all of our kids and non-coupled family members).
We just want a nice location for a ceremony & reception (including dinner) that is on the beach and will hold 50 guests. Thank you for your input!
We’re leaning away from Hawaii because we’re from the East Coast, & we don’t want the flight to take all day for those guests who can only get a weekend off.

Jamaica, Ocho rios
The greatest place in the world
Sand Castle on the Beach, St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. It’s a beautiful setting. It’s American so no passport is necessary and it costs less than most other Caribbean locations. Check out their website.

My fiance and I are also looking into a Caribbean wedding and I’ve found some great information out there. We’re trying to decide between Punta Cana, Dominican Republic or Jamaica. Here are a couple of websites that i’ve found helpful….
http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/ (a forum where you can talk to people who are further along, or done, in the destination wedding planning process – gives a lot of good information that you wouldn’t hear from a travel agent or website)
http://www.honeymoonsinc.com/Page2512.aspx (gives a list of all inclusive in whatever area you’re interested in and rates them, you can then go to the resorts website to find out more details)
Now, you don’t necessarily HAVE to get married at a resort. I’ve heard of people getting married on the beach outside of a restaurant and then having the reception inside the restaurant. I would recommend that you contact a travel agent who specializes in destination weddings. Figure out if you really want it at a resort or not and what your budget is. Some things you can live without, some you can’t. This person can save you a ton of time and hassle. It’s their job to price shop and find things that are in your price range. Plus, they are a GREAT middle man IF you run into some problem at the resort – a resort is much more likely to resolve your issue if they’re worried about a travel agency not sending guests their way anymore.
Good luck with all your planning!
Congratulations on your engagement. First of all I have to say that I was very disappointed in Sandals. For the price we paid- I was expecting a great deal more… I would look into some other all inclusive resorts. Some even are adults only!!!
Good Luck to you!!!!
Think about a cruise . Everyone will get what they want and you can assemble a wedding at almost any port.
The cruise line will work with you on rooms and a reception.
I suggest you stay away from Carnival since I have heard that is what it is.
Try something a bit more low key and pick a time when there will not be kids all over.
You can even get married on Key West so it will be part of the US.
Good luck.
Here's my honest answer. Sometimes when I go into a store I want to look around and some sales associate comes over and starts to hover with the "can I help you" bit. They really annoy me and I leave and go to another store where I can browse in peace. The thing to do is to tell them if they need any help to let you know and then leave them alone.
If those stupid people on here advertised it they always do that they advertise it why? So you can go on that site your computer can get viruses, if you order it IT WILL NEVER COME IT'S A SCAM AND THEY DON'T RETURN YOUR MONEY EITHER SO NEVER TRUST THOSE STUPID ADVERTISEMENTS/ANSWERS EVER.
Just tell your family to block that email address.
Haha, I know exactly what you mean. My friends, family members, other random people do this all the time and it’s weird that I’m the only one bothered by it…
