Long Beach to Laguna Beach Wedding Locations?

by admin on March 14, 2010

I got engaged in August:) We were originally planning on having our wedding in Laguna Beach in early August ’09, but now I’m not sure, I’ll be happy to have it any time next summer. I’ve just become so frustrated with trying to find a place to have it. My parents don’t have alot of extra money, neither do my fiance and I, so if you know of any wedding ceremony/reception sites that are affordable…please let me know!!

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer!!

Maybe some of these?
Queen Mary (I had my first wedding there – gorgeous view of the skyline)
Hyatt Long Beach (went to a wedding there last week)
Petroleum Club, Long Beach (I’ve heard this is nice but I haven’t been there)
Heartwell golf course (clubhouse) Long Beach
Bowers Museum in Santa Ana (went to a GORGEOUS wedding there)
Turnip Rose (Irvine and Orange — great food, pretty facility in Orange)

My brother and sister in law had there ceremony at the Pepperdine Chapel in Malibu and the reception at Duke’s of Malibu. It was nice.

My relative’s first wedding was at the Wayfarer’s Chapel and reception held in a restaurant in Long Beach right on the bay. The rental is a bit pricey, but you don’t need ANY decoration at all. They also can suggest a musician (or use an ipod) or photographer familiar with the area. She had a midweek wedding. The bride chose to have a harpist for the wedding.

A midweek wedding is $2000 and Includes:
Your wedding contribution includes the use of the Chapel for two hours, the Chapel Minister, wedding staff to guide your rehearsal, wedding music (played by the Chapel keyboardist), candles on the altar and your conferences. It’s a beautiful setting, but a long drive.

Picnic Cove on Laguna

I recent performed a ceremony at Crescent Bay Point Park in Laguna. It was a pretty little park – it’s in a subdivision so things have to be low volume but it is s pretty overlooking the ocean. It’s a city park so it requires a permit and you get exclusive use of it for I think 2 hours. I think you can fit 40 people maybe 50 if you sit close together. It is an amphitheater so there’s a place to stand in front of your guests and the seating is concrete semi-circle tiered benches. There is also a large grassy area.

In these pictures (not mine, btw – far too good) the “fire pit” has been replaced with a seal or sea lion – there are sea lions that live in the area.

Finally Married! March 14, 2010 at 5:43 am

I have a place that might work. It really all depends on your budget and what you want and how many people.

I was married at Hotel Laguna. It is one of the smaller older hotels on the beach. You can get married on the beach (no permit required private beach) or in the garden, and have the reception there. They have 4 different rooms to chose from depending on the size of course. We really liked them due to the reception hall over looked the beach and had a small patio that lead to the beach. So our guest could talk a stroll down the beach under the stars.

They of course cater it, and have several package deals. All included wait staff, tables, chairs, liens, dishes, bar tender, coordinator, and your suite for the night.

The staff is wonderful and the food very good. Talk to Damon go on a walk thur with him. He is the head coordinator, he always calm and make sure you are calm and on time and things go right!

If you have any questions or would like more detail email me.

Best wishes in all your planning.

Useless video of some guy wilding a camera on the beach. It would be so much more informative if we got to see the results of what he’s shooting.
